HELP WITH THE NEW TECH CHANGES Email Transition: If you currently receive email at your iupui.edu or iupuc.edu account, your email address will change to iu.edu beginning June 1. After December, you will no longer receive email at your old email address. Learn how to update your email at an online information session for Senior Academy members. This Zoom session will be Tuesday, May 14, from 12 to 1 p.m. Aaron Neal, Deputy Chief Information Officer in UITS, will answer your questions about the transition.
Bookmarks: If you have bookmarked favorite websites using the IUPUI domain, those websites will be changing addresses soon. For example, you might have a bookmark to the Senior Academy homepage or to your home department. Those old URLs will redirect for a short time, but then they will turn into dead links. However, you can easily update your bookmarks! When you navigate to the bookmarked website, just remove the star, then add it again. Access to Zoom: Retired staff were previously informed they will lose access to Zoom. Aaron Neal from UITS says that is a mistake, and all retirees will retain Zoom access. Thanks to Senior Academy for inquiring about this issue, thereby making Zoom available to all retired staff. MAY EVENTS: May 9 – Senior Academy Board of Directors Meeting: All Senior Academy members are invited to observe meetings of the board, either in person or on Zoom. Meetings are the second Thursday of each month, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The Zoom link is https://iu.zoom.us/s/81536931800 May 14 – Email Transition to iu.edu Domain: Please register to attend this Zoom session, which will tell you all you need to know about the email transition.
